Mail Piece Design

Designing for discounts means designing your mailing piece within the various USPS size categories. Most of us use direct mail that falls into three popular size categories: cards, letters and flats. Each of these size categories has its own particular guidelines for size, weight and address placement. And most importantly they each coincide with a designated postage rate category, each more expensive than the other. It’s critical for example that a letter-size mailing piece stay within letter size dimensions. If the intended letter-size category mailing piece goes even slightly over in size, your postage rate could jump significantly. In this design for discount section are some very basic elements of cards, letter, and flats.
